I have a sunburst mirror inherited from my grandma, so I have a special attachment to them.
This sunburst mirror made of bamboo skewers and rulers is so clever.
I often dream of the perfect pantry and kitchen storage, (see here and here), even though I don't have one. Thanks to my sister-in-law's blog Black Eiffel, I came across this beautiful and perfect pantry storage inspiration. I love the wicker baskets, the white ceramic and glass, and modern shelf. Perfect mix of country and modern. It is actually a restaurant in Australia called Capital Kitchen and you can see more of it here.
While flipping through last years June (or July?) Martha Stewart Living I came across this photo of Deborah Cox guest house. It's an dormatory style room with 3 beds. Unfortunately I returned the magazine to the library before scanning the picture, because it was a 2 page spread. The left side of the room is nearly identical (4 beds), but what I love about it is thinking of the fun of having all my family in one room like a big sleepover party. Perfect for summer vacations and space savy! Love it.
I have a bit of a country style, but love the streamlined and clean look of modern decor. Here is a little collection a I made a while ago of beautiful craft spaces. Aren't they inspiring? Makes me want to get my craft closet in order.

I found these pictures over a year ago when we signed out contract to our apartment and I found out I couldn't use the fireplace. For a while I just put some logs in anyway, so it didn't lay empty. I can't seem to get it clean enough that my baby doesn't pick up soot when she finds her way to it, then drag the dirty finger prints around my newly painted walls. I'm wondering now, what the best baby friendly thing to do for my nonworking fireplace is. (Any tips on getting the caked on soot clean?)

Thinking about organizing my kitchen....a hefty task. Here's some beautiful kitchen organization to motivate me...and you! All images from Country Living
I love all white rooms, but I was flipping through my inspiration file and noticed an amazing thing....most of the rooms I juts LOVE are....Turquoise, Robin's egg blue, Tiffany blue..... usually with another bright color too, like coral, red or yellow! And what do you know? Turquoise happens to be the color of 20010 apparently. I NEED to pain my living room, but I'm in a rental, so It need to be neutral (except the new nook I'm making out of the closet which when we leave is still just a closet and can be black for all they care. So.....only problem left is my olive green couch. Maybe turquoise won't work for me after all, but here's some mighty fine inspiration:
This room's layout is much like my own, although mine is not finished being decorated and very yuck yuck right now:
I have a tiny kitchen with limited storage and counter space, so I'm always looking for clever (low budget) ways to store things. I especially love hanging pots from a rack, bar or grid, and knives from a magnetic holder on the wall rather than taking up precious counter space. I am always so drawn to open storage in pictures, but when attempted at home I find I don't have pretty enough things to display, or I don't have the knack for displaying what I do have well. I won't give up though! When I get it right I'll be sure to show you! Images found via thekitchn.com
