I have been loving this chair for a loooong time now.  It's way out of my budget of course.  So imagine my excitement when I found this:

A square table that seats 4 (and fits nicely in my tiny apartment), then folds out into a circular table (I've always wanted a round table with the legs in the middle) that seats 8.  Plus 8 chairs.  Plus 4 bar stools.  ALL of this for the price of 1.5 of those chairs up there.  Of course its not the same chair, but it's so close, and within my budget.  I really am SO excited to be getting this into my house soon.  I've also redecorated the dining area this week.  Pictures very soon.  (As soon as my brother gets a chance to deliver it for me...love him!)

Jewelry Class

 I'm so excited!  I just started a jewelry class!  I made a ring yesterday (practicing with copper) and I am pretty pleased with the results.  Can't wait to start making BANGLES!   Here is some inspirational Jewelry i collected from online:

Back with an iMac

I'm back again to the land of blog.  We moved from Provo to North Salt Lake so my husband could be closer to school, but unlike our last rental, our apartment did not include free internet unless you go down to the clubhouse for wifi.  With a toddler who is quite the escape artist and only one working computer (the laptop that my husband uses at school and for homework when he gets home) I have not had oportunity to be involved in the online world for some time.  It's really been nice in the kind of way that going to a remote cabin with no tv or electronics to distract might be....but I've missed it. A Lot.

So.......now we have internet!  AND a new (used) 21.5" imac since our ancient power mac had turrets and then imploded.  And can I say....this machine is soooooo sexy:

Here's my second ever attempt at photoshop (with my banner being the first)  I was going to try to learn how to make it look vintage when I found instructions for making your photo look "Lomo."  It's probly better suited for a picture without people in it as it has some cray colors, but it's a super fun look.  I think I'm going to have to learn more, this was more fun than I expected.

Sorry for the little "vacation."  The last week or 2 has been filled with a lot of crazy surprises (some good) including a sick husband, a teething and sick baby, a personal emergency room visit, getting an endoscopy, car breaking down, a reception, mother visiting, and Women's Conference.  AAAaaaaaand......I organized my kitchen! (*haaaaaa-lle-lu-jah*) -See next post for more on that-

After such a busy week I wanted to go on a vacation or camping trip, so we set up the tent in the living room, and pulled out the sleeping bags.  The floor was surprisingly comfortable, and we had so much fun.  We went for a "hike" this morning (to the craft store a few miles away, and the post office and grocery store) since we have no running vehicles left.  The weather is so beautiful.  I'm loving life.

Spring, Happiness, and Thanksgiving Point

My mood the last week or two has been so UP!  I can't get enough of the warm weather, the blossoms, the tulips and daffodils.  I spent much of last weekend in the garden (the few feet I have of one), and despite my severe aracnaphobia, had the time of my life!  I am so amazed at how gleeful and sunny I feel inside just because of flowers.

We went to the Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival today.  It's something I look forward to every year.  It's a special place for me because this is where I knew I wanted to marry my husband (Here on this Monet bridge pictured above).  Then months later where he proposed!  Our visit today was cut short by a hail storm unfortunately.  And I dressed in shorts, put my baby in shorts and a sun hat, etc.  It was so SUNNY this morning.  Coming back in rose season though!

Nothing to show for it

I just finished painting my living room, stripped paint from all the hardware (yuck) and sewed drapes for the closet/office.  Doing so much, but it's still not completely presentable.  I might just have to take some work in progress pics to share soon anyway cause I'm so eager for someone to see!  What to work on next?  Storage, organization, etc....(not nearly as fun as drapes or flowers)
