This craft is so very much right up my ally. I love the look of old sign lights, but they cost a fortune. I'm so glad that someone came up with a cheaper DIY solution. See how to do it at Design Sponge.

I came across these monster feet made by The Bakers Wife on Craft Gossip the other day and just can't wait til my little one is big enough to do kids crafts like this with me. HOW CUTE! Check out her tutorial!
Back to school is such an exciting time around my town, even if you don't have anyone in the family attending. I live in a college town and and it swells, and the businesses start booming again. There is excitement in the air. This year is extra exciting since my husband is going to be going back to school to get an MBA. He'll be needing sack lunches, and so it was so perfect to come across this tutorial at Lemon Squeezy Home (a favorite blog of mine).
Ruffles and Stuff has the-cutest-sewing-tutorials-ever! And she does so many! This is a brand new one I am especially fond of. The Petal Tee!

I have been making cupcakes a lot lately and frosting them with a Wilton Cupcake Heaven Desert Decorator. Of course you don't need the decorator for this method, but just a bag and large tip. Problem is, I can only get 3 cupcakes done before it needs to be refilled. Very easy, but talk about time consuming! I came across this video that shows the better way to frost a cupcake. It might take a while to master, but in the end is far quicker and easier than piping it on in swirl. Just like cursive writing. It was harder when I was a kid, but now....so much more convenient. I'm going to work on my frosting skills now! Watch the video below for the how-to lesson by the Frosters at Cupcake Royale, and video by from Eat All About It.
Martha's Cream Cheese Butter Cream Frosting Is one of my favorite frosting recipes.
Have you ever started getting an idea for a craft then you see it days later by someone else. That's what happened to me with these interchangeable flip flops from Make It And Love It, except that hers are SO much better than I had even imagined in my head. I hadn't figured out all the details, so I am SO glad she has full tutorial!!!! This is a project I won't miss this summer! I LOVE flip flops and these are so inexpensive and far cuter than the $40 pairs I'm seeing at J Crew.
